Ordering a made-to-order falconry hood starts with information about your bird. Here is what to prepare before choosing an AO hood.
What information does AO need?
- Species: give the bird’s species; if it is a hybrid, include the parent species if known.
- Sex: tell us whether the bird is male or female.
- Weight: provide its current weight and include the unit, such as grams or ounces.
If your bird already wears a hood, add the maker and size as a reference. That reference helps us understand what you are using; it does not mean every hoodmaker’s size numbers are interchangeable.
Choosing a hood model
Our falconry hood collection includes different designs, leathers and closure options. Read the individual product description and select from the options shown. For eagles, start with our dedicated eagle equipment; a hood intended for another bird is not automatically suitable for an eagle.
Made-to-order production and shipping
Allow 1–2 weeks for production before shipping on made-to-order hoods. Carrier transit time is additional. The production period is not a promise that the parcel will arrive within 1–2 weeks. Review the product’s lead-time notice before adding it to your cart.
How AO Archive differs
AO Archive hoods are already made and are offered in the fixed size stated on each listing. They are not made to your bird’s measurements. Check the listed size and contact us if you need help assessing a piece before ordering.
